Between the late 1960s and the mid-1970s, Italian cinema brought to the screen a distinctly genre, inspired by Boccaccio's novellas and a late-medieval era.
The genre, known as the "Decamerotic" spawned box-office hits, accompanied by fabulous soundtracks.
In these two new releases of Dirt Tapes Sounds series (in collaboration with Four Flies Records), we draw heavily from that flourishing period of Italian cinema.

The soundtrack to Mino Guerrini's 1972 film, composed by Berto Pisano and Elsio Mancuso, is released in physical format for the very first time. An orchestral rollercoaster accompanies the feature film, weaving tension, eroticism, drama, and comedy in a perfect blend of the grotesque and the sentimental.

Unreleased until 2024 and released for the first time in a physical format by Dirt Tapes, this album by the maestro Alessandroni, (recorded during the 1970s), is a collection of songs written and conceived as soundtracks for the Decamerotic genre.
In these 27 minutes of music, Alessandroni, a passionate devotee of the folk tradition of his native Tuscia, combines traditional instruments such as mandolin, classical guitar, flute, and accordion with synthesizers and minimalist electronic drums.
