"Morte e pianto rituale" is Cigno's debut album, an evocative ritual where blues and industrial flirt with electronica and rock.
“Contemporary versus tribal. The city empties, the countryside resurfaces. The crumbling contemporary ideals collapse, all is lost. Primitive rituals are exalted. Dialect dances, esoteric theaters, innocent songs emerge from the echoes of ancient rural civilizations, which belong to us and are just waiting to be awakened. Like shamans they transmigrate to warm lands of solitude, where a swan dies and is reborn every day in a snow swamp, trying to redeem the dormant spirits that brood in the wandering empty men of our decadent modernity."
Brauss' guitars, Sbrenzy's piano, keyboards and synths with Tania Giommoni's voices are supported by Abate Busoni's rhythms, Bernardino Ponzani's drums and Roberto Sanguigni's basses, where Cigno signs lyrics, music, arrangements and productions .
