Emidio Clementi (Massimo Volume) accompanied by Corrado Nuccini and Emanuele Reverberi of Giardini di Miró on a journey to early 20th century America through the visionary gaze of the writer Emanuel Carnevali.
Having arrived in the United States from Bologna while still a boy, Carnevali was to all intents and purposes an English-language writer, praised by the literary avant-garde of the time - from Ezra Pound to Sherwood Anderson -, but still unknown to most today, despite his undisputed literary value.
Emigration, poverty, the false American myth, work, writing, nostalgia for Italy are the central themes of his work and of the album dedicated to him, which also makes use of the poetic reconstruction of life Emidio Clementi wrote about Carnevali in his novel The Last God.
American Notturno represents his further homage to a forgotten son, suspended between two continents and two cultures, who have never stopped loving and hating each other.
For the first time on cassette, released by Dirt Tapes in a limited edition in orange-glow.

Emidio Clementi, writer and musician, is the voice and bassist of Massimo Volume. In addition to "The Last God" he is the author of several novels and collections of short stories, the latest "The Bruno Years" was released by Playground in 2022

Corrado Nuccini is the founder, guitarist and vocalist of Giardini di Miro', a band from Reggio Emilia that has reached its seventh official album. The latest "Del Tutto Illusorio" is published by 42 Records in 2021. He has been artistic director of the Ferrara Sotto le Stelle festival since 2020.

Emanuele Reverberi is a multi-instrumentalist with a repertoire that includes rock, popular and avant-garde music. He plays the violin in the Mirò Gardens.
